Welcome to the 1st GO-GN Seminar in Cape Town, 6-13 December 2013

For all participants airport transfer on arrival is arranged. Please look for the sign board with the UNESCO Chair in OER Logo.
We start on Saturday with a lunch at the Pavilion Conference Centre. Some particpants will come in later.
In the evening we will have dinner together in the Belgian restaurant called Den Anker, just opposite the conference venue accross the footbridge next to the Clock Tower.
We now have 12 PhD candidates and 4 supervisors in the program. Download the program here.
Most participants are now officially invited. The website for the event is now launched. Please refer to this website for the latest on the program.
Meeting venue booked. The meeting will be in the ClockTower venue, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town.
The GO-GN coordination team starts negotiations with the ROER4D project and the Open Global Conference, both having meetings in Cape Town at the same time as the planned GO-GN meeting. Aim is to benefit from the meetings and agree admission of the GO-GN members to certain parts of the programs of the simultaneous meetings.
Hotel reservations are confirmed. The participants in the GO-GN seminar will stay at the City Lodge V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
An agreement is reached with Travel Guru in Cape Town to support the logistics of the GO-GN meeting.
The decision is made. Thanks to the sponsorship of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the GO-GN coordination team can go ahead with the organisation of the first GO-GN Seminar
